The Sixth International Symposium on Hydrological Applications of Weather Radar will be held in Melbourne, Australia, from 1-4 February 2004. The major theme is on the successful implementation of radar technology for hydrological and quantitative rainfall applications. Presentations relating to operational experiences and techniques for practical use of radar data in hydrology will be particularly encouraged.

Presentations are invited on flood forecasting, urban hydrology, hydrometeorological applications and management of risk and uncertainty. These applications require quantitative rainfall estimations and forecasts, possibly from a network of radars. Papers on quantitative precipitation estimation and forecasting, radar network issues, infrastructure, data management and operational issues are also encouraged.
