New 'Latest Coastal Weather Observations' and maps.
The Bureau's coastal weather observations pages have
been revised to extend national product consistency. They are now called
'Latest Coastal Weather Observations'. Weather details are collected from
automatic and manual stations, and organised by coastal forecast zones.
Details include temperature, wind, pressure, rainfall, cloud cover, weather,
visibility and wave information. Reporting schedules vary according to
station type.
72 hour histories
Each station name is linked to a corresponding 72 hour coastal weather observation history page.
Clickable coastal maps
The new coastal station maps indicate the locations of coastal weather observation stations and the corresponding coastal forecast zones. You can access 72 hour station history pages by clicking the station names.
For more information about the new products, see: About Latest Coastal Observations

Please note until the end of March 2006 both the old and new versions
of the coastal weather observations pages will exist. The Marine Weather
and State Weather Observation menu pages will contain links to both the
new versions and the old versions.
The current coastal observation pages are mostly called 'Coastal Weather
Observations', with some names prepended by the State name. In Victoria,
the coastal observation page is currently called 'Bass Strait Observations'.
Please provide your feedback on the revised coastal observation pages
and also on the new maps by using our feedback
form.
Old observation pages will be phased out by the end of March 2006. Notices will be included in the old pages one month earlier.
