| National Seasonal Temperature Outlook: probabilities for January to March 2007, issued 20th December 2006 | |||||||||||||||
Increased temperatures for eastern and northern AustraliaThere is a moderate to strong shift in the odds towards above normal daytime temperatures for the March quarter (January to March) over much of eastern and northern Australia, the Bureau of Meteorology announced today. In contrast, there are a few pockets in the southeast where a cooler than normal start to the new year is favoured.
