MEDIA ALERT - NSW REGIONAL OFFICE

Enhanced weather service for regional NSW

The Bureau of Meteorology today introduced improvements in its weather services to regional NSW.

The changes include the introduction of:
* Four-day forecasts for larger regional centres.
* Next-day forecasts for nine new locations.
* A designated regional centre in each weather district that will receive four-day forecasts.
* The issuing of forecasts twice a day, at 5:15am and 4pm.
