Perth today experienced a minimum temperature of 5.0 degrees Celsius at 5.33 am, the lowest minimum temperature for November on record at the official Perth observation site. The previous record for November of 5.6 degrees was recorded on 1 November 1904. The average minimum temperature for November is 14.2 degrees.
Other November records around the metropolitan area this morning included Jandakot Airport 0.8 degrees (13 years of record), Pearce 2.8°C (47 years) Perth Airport 3.2°C (60 years) Bickley 4.6°C (10 years) and Swanbourne 7.1°C (10 years).
The lowest minimum temperature for the state today was –1.1 degrees Celsius at Wandering. This is the latest date on which a sub-zero temperature has been recorded in WA. The previous record was at Salmon Gums Research Station with –1.1°C on 13 November 1958.
