** Observations are taken, as appropriate, from official Perth Metro observing
sites at Perth Gardens, West Perth (Old Observatory), East Perth and Mt Lawley.
The current (Mt Lawley) site is prone to slightly lower overnight temperature
than past observing sites.
*** The rainfall readings were taken at several sites.
**** The 'Annual extreme' column gives the annual record as it stood prior
to June 2006. This may or may not have been broken, as indicated in the 'New
Record' column.
