| Wednesday 3 January, 2007 A year of extremes- Western Australia in 2006Main points for 2006:
The latest Western Australia's annual climate summary and Perth annual climate summary contain much more detail on the extremes and records for Western Australia and Perth in 2006. Monthly, seasonal and annual climate summaries have replaced media releases as the Bureau of Meteorology's main collation of such information. The monthly summaries will normally be issued on the first working day of each month, once all the relevant observations are received (for example, maximum temperatures for the last day of the month are not available before the thermometers are checked at 9 am on the 1st). Archives of earlier months, seasons
and years are available at www.bom.gov.au/climate/current/month/wa/archive/
