Our new Director - Dr Greg Ayers

The Bureau's new Director is Dr Greg Ayers.

His appointment was announced today (30 March 2009) by the Minister for the Environment, Heritage and the Arts, the Hon Peter Garrett MP.

Acting Director Dr Neville Smith welcomed the announcement noting that Dr Ayers will be known to many staff as he has been closely involved with the Bureau for many years; with Cape Grim Baseline Air Pollution Station (Tasmania) since its inception in 1976.

Dr Ayers will take up his appointment on 25 May 2009.
