National Science Week, 16-24 August 2008

It's that time of year again, when Bureau of Meteorology staff open up their experiment kits and warm up their vocal chords for National Science Week.

Building on the success of the past two years, staff will once again don the safety goggles to release weather balloons, present talks, and conduct tours, open days, and competitions. The celebrations run between Saturday 16 August and Sunday 24 August.
Check out the list of activities in the table below.

The bureau has participated in National Science Week over the past two years, with events at its training centre and a number of field stations and regional offices. The response from the public was very positive.

Don't forget to visit the official National Science Week web page for a full list of this year's activities: http://www.scienceweek.info.au

To find out more about this exciting event, please contact the bureau's National Science Week coordinator on (03) 9669 4564. It's not too late to inquire.
