New 'Latest Weather Observations' and maps.
The Bureau's 'Latest Weather Observations' pages have been revised to extend national product consistency. The new pages have a larger list of weather observation stations, grouped by forecast district. A linked district index has been included at the top of the page to streamline access to relevant sites. Sites now include Automatic Weather Station and manual observations. Reporting schedules vary according to station type. Weather observations more than 75 minutes old are shown in italics and are coloured blue green.
72 hour histories and clickable maps
Each site station name is linked to a corresponding 72 hour weather observation history page. The histories can also be accessed using the new clickable maps for each state. These maps indicate the locations of observing stations and the corresponding Forecast Districts.
Superseded pages
The superseded pages will continue to be available until May 31 st 2005, to allow users to make a smooth transition to the new products. A notice has been included for the superseded products.
