Damage to trees on the beach between Voaden Point and Friendly Point

Image of tree damage between Voaden Point and Friendly Point after Tropical Cyclone Ingrid
Photo taken at the area of highest storm surge and strongest winds. Trees have been pushed inland by the wind and storm surge (ocean flooding). Some of the trees have endured substantial defoliation, and many of them have a raw, pink tinge to their bark, also indicating massive wind damage.
