Severe to extreme intensity heatwave conditions are observed from the interior of Western Australia across the southeast of Australia. Broad low intensity heatwave conditions remain for central WA and the northern interior.

Heatwave Situation for Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday (3 days starting 16/01/2019)

Severe to extreme heatwave conditions shift to the southeast interior. Low intensity heatwave conditions persist through central WA across South Australia, the northern interior and parts of Tasmania.

Heatwave Situation for Thursday, Friday, & Saturday (3 days starting 17/01/2019)

Severe intensity heatwave conditions are forecast from the NT/QLD/SA border region to eastern districts of NSW and the far northeast of Victoria. Heatwave conditions ease to low intensity for the remainder of the southeast, eastern interior, central Australia and the central interior of Western Australia.

Heatwave Situation for Friday, Saturday, & Sunday (3 days starting 18/01/2019)

Severe heatwave conditions are expected to develop over the western Gascoyne and Central West districts of WA with low intensity heatwave conditions spreading over the South West Land Division of WA. Broad low intensity heatwave conditions remain across inland Australia and eastern NSW, locally reaching severe intensity over northeastern NSW.

Heatwave Situation for Saturday, Sunday, & Monday (3 days starting 19/01/2019)

Severe intensity heatwave conditions expand from the Gascoyne through inland parts of the South West Land Division. Broad low intensity heatwave conditions extend through the interior of Western Australia, the NT to the eastern interior and parts of Tasmania.

Heatwave Situation for Sunday, Monday, & Tuesday (3 days starting 20/01/2019)

A broad low intensity heatwave is forecast over central Australia and much of the southern half of Australia. Severe intensity is expected for southern districts of WA.

Heatwave Situation for Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday (3 days starting 21/01/2019)

An extensive low intensity heatwave is forecast from WA across the northern interior of Australia and the southeast. Severe intensity is possible at some locations particularly about the WA/SA border.
