A trough arches through the country sweeping up WA, across the NT before
extending down through QLD, triggering isolated thunderstorms and patchy cloud
in the vicinity of the trough.

Associated with an upper level trough, a band of middle level cloud horizontally
extends across the Great Australian Bight with the edged of the cloud band
sweeping over southeastern parts of SA and western VIC. A second patchy cloud
band extends vertically through the Tasman Sea and is associated with a second
upper level trough.

The remainder of Australia is relatively clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
