IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1200UTC Chart Issued at 11:00 pm EDT Tuesday on 10 December 2019 Lower level cloud over southeast Australia is associated with the post cold front airmass trapping moisture under the ridge moving in. Frequent thunderstorm activity extends through large parts of WA and across northern NT associated with an inland trough and general tropical moisture. Offshore enhanced tropical convection over the Coral Sea is gradually pushing onto the North Queensland coast associated with a slow moving low pressure system The inland trough that arcs through WA and central Australia, finishes up extending over the northeastern NSW region and is triggering isolated showers and storms. Also through eastern NSW is the ongoing areas of thick smoke.
