A cloud band and embedded thunderstorms associated with surface trough extends
from WA across the NT and northeastern Qld to southern NSW, and Vic. 

Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms are also present in eastern WA,
southern NT and western Qld.

There is a large cloud band over Vic and the Tasman Sea associated with another
trough.

A strong high in the Bight is maintaining a moist southerly airstream and areas
of low cloud over Tas, Vic and southern coastal areas of SA, and WA.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free apart from areas of middle to
high level cloud over southwestern WA.
