There is a trough over the Indian Ocean, generating convective cloud along its
extent, with severe Tropical Cyclone Marian just off to the west of the chart.
This trough connects to a low just off the Gascoyne coast in WA and streches out
into a trough along the western WA coast as well as an inland heat trough across
WA , NT, QLD and NSW. There is cloud across much of western WA with
thunderstorms.

Another trough stretches over the Coral Sea passing through Tropical Cyclone
Niran which is bringing mid to upper level cloud across much of northeast QLD
and thunderstorms along Cape York Peninsula.

Low level cloud can also be seen over much of the southern and eastern coastal
areas. Mid level cloud covers most of TAS.
