A large cloud band with embedded thunderstorms sits over the east of the
country, extending into the Tasman Sea. This cloud band is being driven by a
surface trough, as well as an upper tropical moisture feed on the jetstream.

Further south, a cold front is moving through Tasmania and Victoria, with low
cloud over much of the Australian southern coastline in the cold air west of the
front.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free.
