A surface trough and associated upper level trough are generating an extensive
cloud band that covers most of the eastern seaboard and extends out over the
Tasman Sea towards New Zealand as well as over parts of the Coral Sea.

A weakening low pressure system over South Australia is generating areas of
cloud over most of the state, as well as low cloud over the southern coast of
Western Australia. Cloud associated with a strong cold front is visible to the
west of WA.

Patchy low cloud associated with a low pressure trough lies over parts of
Tasmania and southern Victoria.
