Ex-Tropical Cyclone "Esther" lies within the monsoon trough to the southwest of
the Gulf of Carpentaria. Large areas of convective cloud and thunderstorms are
being generated by this system across northern Australia. Another convective
cloud area can be seen off the northwest coast of WA and is associated with a
Tropical Cyclone "Ferdinand".
