A low in southwest Western Australia is generating a cloud band with embedded
widespread thunderstorms in the area. A trough extends from the low through
central Australia, Southwest Queensland, and into eastern New South Wales
bringing low to mid level cloud and embedded thunderstorms to the east coast.

A cold front passing east of Tasmania is bringing low level cloud to the region.

A high in the Great Australian Bight is bringing onshore flow along southern
coastal areas of Western Australia, South Australia and Victoria and is
generating areas of low cloud.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free apart from some patchy cloud
through the tropics.
