A trough associated with a weak low extends a cloud band with embedded
thunderstorms over Tasmania and Victoria. Another surface trough lies over
southeast South Australia extending a cloud band over western Victoria and
southwest New South Wales.

A cold front is approaching southwest Western Australia.

A large high pressure system over the eastern part of the country is responsible
for keeping the rest of the continent mainly cloud free.
