Patchy high cloud can be seen over the northern tropics of Australia with a few isolated thunderstorms over the waters to the north of the country.
A mid level trough is generating a cloudband from the southeast of Western Australia across the Great Australian Bight to the Bass Strait and Tasmania.
High cloud extends from Severe Tropical Cyclone "Jack", which is well to the west of Australia, to the Gascoyne district in WA.
