A surface trough and an upper air disturbance are causing convective cloud and
thunderstorm activity over southeast Qld and northeast NSW. Middle level cloud
is affecting Vic and Tas ahead of a front near southwest Tas.

A strong cold front is approaching western WA with its associated cloud band.
