An band of patchy middle level cloud extends over central parts of Northern
Territory, Queensland and New South Wales, and is associated with a slow moving
surface trough. 

A cold front lies over western Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, rain
and thunderstorms continue in this area with the thickening frontal cloud band.
A low pressure system and its associated trough are bringing showers and
thunderstorms to the southeast of SA.

A high to the southwest of WA is directing a moist onshore flow to the remaining
southern coastlines of Western Australia and South Australia, with patchy low
level cloud present in this area.

A cold front to the south of Tasmania is moving into the Tasman Sea.
