Satellite Notes for the 0000UTC chart on 18 June 2013
Issued at 1:12 pm EST Tuesday on 18 June 2013
A weakening cold front is moving across southern WA and connects to a low near the Esperence Coast. Embedded thunderstorm activity is occuring near the low centre off the coast. Further north, extensive middle and high level cloud is drifting across the Pilbara region into central Australia from an area of convection near a tropical low near the Cocos Islands.
A complex low is moving slowly over the Tasman Sea and is directing S/SE winds with areas of cloud over Tasmania, southern Victoria and coastal parts of New South Wales. Some patchy low cloud is also drifting across southern coastal areas of South Australia.
