A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea and associated troughs are generating
broad areas of low to upper level cloud across eastern parts of Vic and NSW.
Isolated thunderstorms are occuring near these troughs in eastern NSW and
southeast Qld.

A ridge of high pressure south of the continent is directing moist onshore flow
into the southeast, with large areas of low cloud over Tas, western Vic and
southern SA. Areas of low cloud are also blanketing parts of inland NSW,
southeast WA and eastern Qld.

The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from patches of high level
cloud in western WA and northeast Qld.
