Severe Tropical Cyclone "Herman" is located in the Indian Ocean, south of
Christmas Island.

A significant region of middle and high level cloud covers most of central and
southern Western Australia propagating east through central Australia to the
coast near the Queensland and New South Wales border.

A low sits over the Geraldton district in Western Australia with a trough
extending through the Gascoyne and Pilbara regions into central Northern
Territory. There is convective activity associated with this trough.

A trough extends from the Cape York Peninsula in Queensland, through central
Queensland and into the Coral Sea. There is thunderstorm activity associated
with this trough.

A trough is located through Victoria and up into southeastern New South Wales.

A ridge in the Bight is driving moist onshore flow, which is producing areas of
low cloud through Victoria, western Tasmania, coastal South Australia and
southern Western Australia.

The rest of the country is mostly cloud free.
