A band of middle and high level cloud is streaming from western Queensland
across New South Wales to the Tasman Sea. This feature is associated with a low
pressure trough and an upper level trough. An active thunderstorm complex is
observed near the Kimberley/NT border while isolated thunderstorms are occurring
over the remainder of the Northern Territory and northern interior of Western
Australia.

Further south, a cold front is clearing east of Tasmania while another frontal
system is visible over the Southern Ocean. Patchy high cloud is drifting over
the far southwest of Western Australia.

The remainder of the country lies under generally clear skies.
