Lower level cloud over southeast Australia is associated with the post cold
front airmass trapping moisture under the ridge moving in.

Frequent thunderstorm activity extends through large parts of WA and across
northern NT associated with an inland trough and general tropical moisture.
Offshore enhanced tropical convection over the Coral Sea is gradually pushing
onto the North Queensland coast associated with a slow moving low pressure
system

The inland trough that arcs through WA and central Australia, finishes up
extending over the northeastern NSW region and is triggering isolated showers
and storms. Also through eastern NSW is the ongoing areas of thick smoke.
