Extensive cloud with embedded thunderstorm activity is over the Coral Sea and
north tropical Queensland coast. This is due to a surface low pressure trough
and upper level disturbance to the west. Onshore easterly winds are resulting in
areas of low cloud on the remaining eastern Australia coast. Patchy middle level
cloud is also visible through the eastern interior.

Further west, a cloud band is streaming through South Australia extending
southeastward across Victoria and Tasmania. This is associated with a broad low
pressure trough. A cold front is located on the western edge of this band
extending south from Kangaroo Island.

Mostly clear elsewhere apart from a little cloud about the southwest coast of
Western Australia.
