A cool westerly airstream is generating patchy to broken low-level cloud over
southeast parts of the country and adjacent southern waters. A cold front is
generating a mid-high level cloud band over parts of Tasmania with cold-air
thunderstorm activity in the cellular cloud over the ocean to the south of the
State. High cloud also exteneds over Bass Straight and parts of Victoria with an
upper level jet stream.

The rest of the country remains generally cloud-free under the influence of a
broad high pressure system.
