IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 1800UTC chart on 30 May 2015 Issued at 6:22 am EST Sunday on 31 May 2015 A broad, slow moving cloud band extends from far northern parts of Western Australia through Northern Territory to northeastern parts of South Australia and across New South Wales. This cloud is due to an upper level trough. An area of convective cloud over the northern parts of Northern Territory and Cape York Peninsula is associated with a weak trough and an easterly surge over the Arafura Sea. High cloud streams from this cloud band on to the Northern Territory and into western Queensland. A cold front to the south of Tasmania is moving northeast and low cloud associated with this system covers Tasmania. Patchy low level cloud lies over parts of the SA coast and also about the tropical Queensland coast due to a moist onshore airstream.
