A cold front with a broad area of thunderstorms lies over the Tasman Sea. Patchy
low cloud can be seen behind the front over Victoria and across large parts of
New South Wales and Tasmania.

Middle level cloud extends over the Pilbara, Gascoyne and Interior Districts of
Western Australia into central Australia and western Queensland. This is due to
a surface trough near the Western Australian coast and an upper level trough.
Onshore winds are resulting in patchy cloud about the North Tropical Coast of
Queensland.

Patchy low level cloud is also visible along the coast of South Australia due to
an onshore westerly wind flow.

The rest of the country remains mostly clear under a high pressure ridge.
