A cold front extends south, from just east of Tasmania to the southern Tasman
Sea. A large area of cloud, associated with this front and a moist southerly
flow behind the front, is covering much of the southeast of the country
including Tasmania.

Meanwhile, a trough extends from central parts of the NT through central QLD to
northeast NSW and further south to east of Tasmania. Near and to the east of
this trough, areas of cloud can be seen with very active areas with
thunderstorms over northwest QLD and northeast NSW.

The central and western parts of the country is mostly clear.
