Cloud with embedded thunderstorms over central and northern WA and also along
the QLD coast is associated with a surface trough.

A low pressure system with intense thunderstorm activity, is located over the
Tasman Sea and is moving towards New Zealand.

A strong cold front is moving towards Tasmania with cellular clouds visible in
the cold air behind the front. Low cloud ahead of the front, is moving onto the
southeast parts of the continent as well as Tasmania.

Low cloud is also affecting the far southwest coast of WA, behind the front.

The rest of the continent remains relatively cloud free, apart from some high
level cloud over the southwest of WA, central NT and western QLD.
