The cold front that affected the southeast of the continent yesterday is now
over the Tasman Sea. The cloud associated with it has a large area of embedded
thunderstorms. Low cloud in the wake of this front is over parts of the
southeast.

Cloud near southeast Queensland is due to a surface trough.

A middle level cloud band extends across southern Western Australia. This is
associated with a jetstream in the upper levels of the atmosphere.
