IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for the 0600UTC chart on 06 May 2016 Issued at 5:07 pm EST Friday on 06 May 2016 An extensive cloud band, with embedded thunderstorms, is extending from the Indian Ocean to the northwestern and central parts of the country. This is associated with an upper level trough. High cloud is streaming over Queensland ahead of the main cloudband due to an upper level jetstream. A cold front is approaching Western Australia from the southwest. A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms associated with the cold front can be seen just off the southwest coast of WA. Low cloud along the west coast of Tasmania is due to an onshore westerly flow.
