A cold front located near New Zealand with an associated thick middle level
cloud band that can be seen sweeping back over the Tasman Sea. In it's wake to
the west the cold air is evident by the speckled cloud over southern parts of
the Tasman Sea.

A series of troughs and a widespread cold airmass extends across the Great
Australian Bight covering adjacent southern parts of SA, across VIC and
Tasmania. Extensive low level cloud and speckled cloud indicating active showers
and thunderstorms stretches across the region.

A cold front southwest of WA can be seen with a cloud band wrapping into a deep
low pressure system associated with the system.

The remainder of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high
pressure ridge.
