A strong cold front is impacting the southwest coast of Western Australia with a
significant of pool cold air behind it as depicted by the speckled cloud. High
level cloud is streaming ahead of the front from the central Western Australia
coast across the Bight towards Tasmania. Some patchy high level cloud remains
about the southeast of the country.

Convective cumulus cloud has developed over the northern half of the Territory
and Kimberley this afternoon. Onshore southeasterly winds continue to bring
areas of low cloud to the Peninsula and North Tropical Coast districts of
Queensland. The remainder of Australia is mostly clear due to an established
ridge of high pressure through the interior.
