An upper level disturbance and surface trough are responsible for broad area of
cloud with embedded thunderstorms over eastern Queensland. Onshore winds
continue to bring patchy low cloud to coastlines along the south of the
continent.

Tasmania lies under a broad area of low cloud with a cold front moving across
the state. Cellular clouds with isolated thunderstorms can be seen in the cold
air behind the front.

A high pressure ridge is keeping central and most of Western Australia clear
with patchy high cloud over northern parts of the country.
