A surface trough extends from WA across the NT and northwestern Qld to southern
NSW. There are areas of thunderstorms in northeastern NSW near the trough.

Areas of cloud with embedded thunderstorms are also present in northern and
central NT.

There is a large cloud band over the Tasman Sea.

A strong high in the Bight is maintaining a moist southerly airstream and areas
of low cloud over Tasmania, Victoria and southeast SA.

The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free apart from areas of middle to
high level cloud with a few thunderstorms over southeast WA.
