A low pressure system lies just east of Tasmania with a well defined cloud band
wrapping into the centre from the Tasman Sea. Extensive cloud covers southern
NSW, Vic and Tasmania. Scattered low level cloud also extends over much of
southeast South Australia.

A cold front and trough is approaching WA and the associated band of cloud
extends onto much of the western half of WA, south of the Pilbara district.

The rest of the country is mostly clear under the influence of a high pressure
system that is slow moving.
