A series of cold fronts and troughs are moving across the Bight and South
Australia and through into New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. Extensive
areas of middle and high level cloud with embedded thunderstorms can be seen
throughout this region associated with these systems. Speckled low level
celluluar cloud with isolated thunderstorms can also be seen following from
behind.

Low level cloud over the Indian Ocean is drifting across western WA which is
associated with a ridge of high pressure and an onshore westerly airstream.

The remainder of the continent is mainly cloud free under the influence of a
high pressure ridge.
