Moisture is feeding into the Pilbara region of Western Australia from a weak tropical low to the west of Christmas Island. The cloud band then extends across Western Australia and South Australia to the southeast of the continent. Isolated thunderstorms can be seen embedded within the cloud band over parts of Western Australia, central Australia and eastern Victoria.
Furthern isolated thunderstorms over northern WA are related to a broad area of low pressure.
Low level cloud lies over southern coastal regions of South Australia and Victoria within a moist southerly airstream. A cold front and its associated cloud band is approaching southeastern states.
