Satellite Notes for 0000UTC chart on 20 October 2014

Issued at 12:04 pm EDT Monday on 20 October 2014

A cloud band with embedded thunderstorms is over southeastern parts of Western Australia and the Great Australian Bight. This cloud is associated with a low pressure system near the south coast of WA and an upper level disturbance. Cloud wrapping around the low covers the southwest of the state. Patchy high cloud ahead of this system lies across eastern South Australia and inland New South Wales.

Low cloud is over eastern Victoria and eastern NSW in the wake of a cold front, now over the Tasman Sea.

Cloud in a moist onshore airstream affects the Queensland North Tropical Coast.
