Patchy cloud is evident over the tropical east coast of Queensland with isolated
thunderstorms over inland parts of the Capricornia. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms extend from the northern interior of Western Australia to the
south coast in the vicinity of a low pressure trough, as a cold front is
approaches the southwest of the state.

Low cloud remains over southeast coastal areas of South Australia, while low and
middle level cloud is streaming over Victoria and Tasmania in a southwesterly
airstream.

Widespread areas of smoke persist over eastern New South Wales.
