IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 1800UTC Chart Issued at 5:24 am EST Sunday on 29 May 2022 A cloud band extends across the Pilbara towards the interior of the continent. This is associated with a surface trough that emanates from a low near Christmas Island. A series of cold fronts are traversing the Southern Ocean. The strongest of these with a large cloud band is crossing through southern WA. A surface trough is responsible for an area of cloud off the coast of eastern NSW with embedded thunderstorms. A low over the southern Coral Sea is generating a large arc of convective cloud. The rest of the continent is mostly cloud free.
