A broad area of low pressure arcs across northern Australia and is triggering
isolated thunderstorm activity over northern WA and northern NT. Patchy middle
level cloud also extends over remaining tropical northern parts extending down
through inland QLD associated with the trough and past thunderstorm activity.

A cold front crossing Tasmania is generating mid to high level cloud that sweeps
over the region. Speckled cloud in the colder air behind the front can be seen
over the Southern Ocean.
