Patchy high cloud lies about the far northern tropics of Australia with a few isolated thunderstorms remaining near the north coast of the Top End and the northern tip of Cape York Peninsula.
A weak cold front is moving off the New South Wales north coast bringing patchy low cloud to central and southern coastal areas. Patchy low cloud also lies about southern Victoria and Tasmania within the cooler southwesterly airflow behind the front.
A little patchy cirrus covers parts of the southeast of WA and the Bight ahead of a frontal system which is at the far southwest of WA. The remainder of the continent is predominantly cloud free under the influence of a high and ridge.
