A cold front extends from the far northeast of NSW across the Tasman Sea to the
south island of New Zealand. An extensive area of mid level cloud is streaming
ahead of this system with embedded thunderstorm activity.

A westerly airstream and associated trough is resulting in areas of low cloud
with scattered showers over southeastern South Australia, southern and eastern
Victoria, and western Tasmania.

In the west, a band of mid level cloud with embedded thunderstorms extends over
the South West Land Division. This is associated with a broad low complex with
the main centre near Perth.

Mostly clear through the interior and across the north of the country.
