IDY28000 Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Bureau National Operations Centre Satellite Notes for 0600UTC Chart Issued at 7:43 pm EDT Friday on 24 March 2023 A trough extends from a weak heat low in the Pilbara region generating areas of cloud and convective activity through the Pilbara and southern Western Australia. Extensive convective clouds are evident over the tropics from the Kimberley to Cape York Peninsula, and over the Coral Sea. Mille level cloud with embedded convective cumulus clouds can be seen across Pastoral and central areas of south Australia extending into western NSW to the southeast corner of the continebt over the Australian Alps. Some remnant convective activity remains off the coast of New South Wales along a trough that extends to a low in the Tasman Sea. The rest of the country is mostly cloud free apart from areas of low level cloud along the southern and eastern coasts of the country.
