A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea is directing a moist onshore
airstream onto the north QLD coast. 

An upper level disturbance  and a surface trough has generated a large area of
cloud and storms that is heading for the eastern mainland and extending
southward over eastern TAS.

A cold front associated with a low pressure system to south of the Bight is
producing some cloud over eastern SA, VIC and TAS.
