Cold air from the Southern Ocean is moving across the south-east of the country
in the wake of a trough. A cold front over the Tasman Sea is associated with
thick cloud and embedded thunderstorms moving towards New Zealand.

Another cold front anchored to a low pressure system is approaching south-west
Western Australia, with offshore thunderstorms.

Areas of high cloud associated with an upper-level jet stream continue to drift
across the Northern Territory and into western Queensland.
